Whakaratonga Iwi is a documentary-style television series following the trials and tribulations of young Māori recruits attempting to forge a career with the New Zealand Fire Service – one of the most respected organisations in the country. It’s not just all about burning buildings – Fire Fighters are trained for rescues, car crashes, natural disasters and protecting communities.
Over the next 12 weeks 24 new recruits will face the gruelling training course in Rotorua.
